The location of this hotel is superb, right in the center of Cologne and very near to the cathedral. Being towards the main train station, it was incredibly convenient for exploring the city and accessing transport links. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed, including a very clean attached bathroom with excellent amenities. The breakfast, which was included in the rate, was delicious with a hot food option, making it a great start to our day.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was fantastic and there was nothing that we found to be lacking.

Typical low-cost big city hotel that is small to medium sized--it has a beautiful marble entry way and reception but when you get upstairs your room is small a with few decorations. In our family room for four we had a room that was no bigger than the rest, but they did put four single beds in there. The bath room was great and there was a nice newer tv. But there was very little room to move around. Still, this is an absolutely great location, within 5 minutes walk of central train station and cathedral. The breakfast is very good and filling.
The rooms are fairly warm, but you can open windows.

The hotel is being renovated, it is looking very nice, the rooms are very spacious, everything is new, the bathrooms are large, modern, 100% renovated. The location of the hotel is very good, 2 blocks from the Central Station, the neighborhood is very safe, very close to the Cathedral, the bridge, the main attractions of Cologne, the staff was friendly, do not have laundry service, but we indicated where we could go to wash clothes, near the hotel.
At the time of check in, Mr. del Frontdesk told us that it was still 40 minutes to the official time of delivery of the room, so we had to leave the bags in the lobby. The front is under construction, it was difficult to get the hotel because the name is not displayed.

Nothing. We had difficulty finding the hotel as it was a bank holiday and all the roads to the city were shut for a race. We called the hotel to ask where we should park and the gentleman advised us 'anywhere' and walk. My mother has difficulty using her right hand and I am registered disabled. The man was rude and very unhelpful. He would not allow us to cancel and said we would be charged regardless of whether we turned up or not. When we finally arrived he said not to come to Koln by car and that it is always like this and basically it was tough that we could not park near the hotel. He did not even try and direct us to a pay car park.
It was dirty and the shower room smelt very unpleasant. In my en suite the shower cubicle was broken and the shower head would not stay in position when the water was turned on. The sink did not have a plug. I was unable to activate the safe as there was a battery missing so reception gave me a key which they wanted to keep when I went out. The whole experience wa very unpleasant and ruined our visit to Koln. I do not understand why Booked.net would rate this hotel as a 3 star. It is not worthy of 1!
